About the non-executive director - advisory council
Eugene has nearly three decades of experience in financial markets. His most recent role was as Head of Multi Asset Investment Management, Europe for Fidelity International. Based in London, he led the team of portfolio managers, which was responsible for total assets of £50bn.
During his nearly 17-year tenure at Fidelity, he was responsible for managing key strategies for Fidelity’s clients, including the development of the multi asset income strategy, which at its peak had $15bn of client assets.
Prior to joining Fidelity, Eugene worked in Singapore at Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, where he latterly worked on the derivatives trading desk, with a focus on interest rate and credit derivatives, after a period of time in the credit risk department. Following his return to London in 1999, he joined Russell Investments in 2000, as a portfolio analyst and then portfolio manager in the fixed income multi fixed income manager team, managing multi-currency fixed income portfolios for Russell’s clients across the globe.
As an investor, Eugene has invested in listed investment companies on behalf of Fidelity’s clients for well over a decade, across sectors including social infrastructure, structured credit, collateralised loan obligations, renewable energy, and leasing.
Eugene holds a BEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, and an MBA from the Management School of Imperial College. Eugene also holds the IMC qualification and is a member of the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association (CAIA).
